Hot Plate Analgesia Meter
The IITC Hot Plate Analgesia test is used for latency testing in rats and mice. Parameters are entered via a keypad. The animals are placed on a black anodized aluminum plate which is heated uniformly. Upon seeing a withdrawal motion the foot switch is depressed to record the latency.
Incremental Hot/Cold Plate
The original IITC Hot/Cold Plate Analgesia Meter available with ramping temperature from -10 deg. C to 70 deg. C. IITC Life Science developed the first commercially available test apparatus in the world which is capable of truly assessing pharmacological modulation of thermonociception.
Tremor Monitor
Execute tremor studies in rats and mice with accuracy and review your data in raw or report format with intuitive, menu-based software.
The SDI tremor monitor system allows you to record, review, analyze and report tremor studies in rats and mice. Using an ultra-sensitive movement sensor, Tremor Monitor differentiates tremor events from ambulatory/stereotyped movements, allows user defined short and long tremors, and will record continuous movement waveforms at 128Hz for over 68 minutes.
Run up to eight test stations from one computer, and then use the point-and-click software to display your test results in graphical and/or numerical formats. Tremor Monitor also offers comprehensive reporting, including FFT Power Spectrum, Filtered Increments, and Percent Energy.
Shock Level Tester
The SDI Shock Level Tester System is a way to measure and verify that the levels of adverse stimulation are appropriate for the subject being tested. Standard multi meters are not designed to measure circuits that deliver scrambled current pulses across a grid floor. The shock level tester pairs great with any of SDI’s shock systems; Gemini, Animal Stimulator, Programmable Animal Shocker
Rodent Shocker
Deliver scrambled shock through eight grid outputs
The SDI Programmable Rodent Shocker system scrambles the delivery of shocks so animals cannot detect a pattern. The system is a multi-function, solid state unit that utilizes 8 unique outputs to deliver the scrambled shocks. The Rodent shocker works great for foot shock systems, defensive burring, and fear conditioning set ups. Our system is able to connect to third party hardware with ease.
Set your shock trigger and levels manually or programmatically with ANY-maze-and for the first time with any system of this type.
Portable Air Puff Unit
Adding the Portable Air Puff Unit with its built in compressor eliminates the need for an air tank, creating a fully portable system. You will simultaneously enhance safety as the compressor does not exceed 15 psi and long duration air puffs are prevented. The Portable Air Puff Unit pairs with our Eyeblink Conditioning System.
Animal Stimulator
The SDI Animal Stimulator can be used for conditioning prior to testing. Use the Animal Stimulator wherever pairing of light and shock and/or sound and shock are required. There are three stimuli; light, sound and shock. There is also an Auxilary connection that allows you to connect your own device.
AIRSTIM with Software
Tests Avoidance learning by motivating an animal’s normal sensory pathways through the control of software.
Now you can control two individual air puff outputs with the click of a mouse using the Air Stim with Software System. The system requires no programming knowledge—just plug in a USB cable, then point-and-click to get started. The Air Stim system is also highly portable. Move it from site to site as needed. The system offers a regulator that is used for fine adjustment below 60 psi, however you will need to supply the air source with a regulator to reduce incoming pressure to 60 psi or lower
AIRSTIM
Tests Avoidance learning by motivating an animal’s normal sensory pathways
The AIRSTIM system is an alternative unconditioned stimulus to shock. AIRSTIM provides air puff stimulation as an aversive stimulus motivating the animal through normal sensory pathways. Stimulation is delivered as a series of air puffs by adjusting the timing controls to set the duration of each puff and inter-puff interval.
